3-D Art Project

Here are pictures of my latest art endeavors. This was for my Foundations 3-D Art class. We worked on this project for 4 weeks... 6 hours of class time a week and then multiple hours outside of class. So I would estimate about 25-30 hours. Woo! We were supposed to explore space and density. It was made using wooden dowels attached with wire then painting pieces of tracing paper with clear acrylic and placing them on the dowels. The paper would dry up and stretch tight like the head of a drum. It was a pretty grueling process and I was very unsure of my work until the very end... I think it turned out quite nicely.

  1. I think about 20 of these would be perfect as wedding decorations!

  2. Oh, and I want to see this up close and personal--so keep it in a safe place until August!

  3. Congratulations, Heather, on a job well done! Lots of class and personal time for you, which resulted in a beautiful finished product as you learned perseverance and a
stick-to-itiveness attitude while you pressed on to success!
