One of my residents is in an induced coma right now due to a fungal infection in her lungs. She is withdrawing from the university. Please keep her in your prayers... her name is Sarah.

Crush
I do believe I have a crush. On my new journal. Check it out.
I mean, really, this baby is SOLID! Soft, flexible leather cover. Lightly lined graph pages. THICK (one whole inch)! Not to mention the beautifully rounded edges and the amazing flexibility of the spine.
PLUS, how grown up is this thing? Very fitting for my 21 years of age, I think! Especially compared to my last journal....
although it was adorable and and oh so fun on the inside with the illustrated pages. But I felt it was time for a more mature, versatile journal. :)
Spring is almost here, and love is in the air! :)

Grace
This is Grace.
God used Grace to change the lives of many Navigator women this weekend at our Women's Conference in none other than Rochester, MN. Through her sincere words, tender hands, and gentle truth, Grace was literally a vessel for Jesus. When Grace spoke, it was really Jesus speaking through her, to each and every one of us.
It was Jesus telling us that we are his one and only.
It was Jesus telling us that we are altogether lovely in his sight.
It was Jesus telling us that it doesn't matter how much we sin, or how we sin, he just wants US.
It was Jesus telling us that we make his heart race, that every thought of us makes him swoon.
It was Jesus telling us how he loves.
As Grace looked into our eyes, it was Jesus looking into our eyes. As Grace cupped a girl's face, wiping away her tears, it was Jesus wiping away the tears. As Grace cried with us, it was Jesus crying with us.
Grace showed me Jesus like I have never before seen Him. And I will never see Him in the same way again. Thank you God, for sending us your GRACE.

Recent Design
Working out a logo for an adoption organization I made up for a design class.
Two posters I made for UWEC Counseling Services... to be hung up around campus.

My Father
This is my father...
I hope that someday I can love others like he does. And that I find a husband who does as well. I love you dad!

New
new–adjective
1. fresh or unused
2. different and better
3. other than the former or the old
There are fifteen definitions of 'new' on dictionary.com. But these are my favorite three. They encompass all that is new in us when we are in Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Ezekiel 36:26
And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
Romans 7:6
But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.
Colossians 3:9-10
Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.
So what does being new entail? It means I have a new spirit, a new heart, a new way of doing things, and a new self. It means that I am an entirely different and better creation. It means that my heart is fresh and my allegiances are unused. It means that I serve in a way different than the former. Better than the old.
How will I live this reality this year? That I am new. Unused, untouched by the world. Fresh and clean of any transgressions. Free of the old law and old ways. How will YOU live it?

EXCITEMENT!
I CANNOT WAIT FOR BREAK!!! Only 4 more official classes, then two finals and two pseudo-finals where we either present or turn in work. SWEET DEAL! Bah! Can you tell I'm just really excited to get away from Eau Claire for awhile? Or away from the US for that matter! :)
And another thing that brings me great excitement is that MICAH is coming to visit on Friday, along with DANIELLE! Excitement!
